A bit more about me.

This is me, the person behind the scenes, and the story of how I got here.

I've spent my whole career taking brand visions and making them happen.

Keep reading to see if we could be a good fit.

My Story

I spent 11 years at Elizabeth Arden, working first in national accounts and then on the marketing team, eventually as an assistant brand manager overseeing launches, campaigns, influencer activity, events and creative briefs for some of the world's most recognised beauty products. I loved it. It was fast-paced, collaborative, and I learned an enormous amount about what it takes to build and market a brand.

During those years (and in the midst of a national lockdown) I had my first daughter, fairly swiftly followed by two more within the next four years. I spent that time juggling motherhood alongside a corporate role, but eventually came to the realisation that it just wasn't working. I was trying to give my all to two very different roles and feeling like I wasn’t doing a very good job of either. Something needed to change.

When I started my business and met more founders along the way, I kept seeing the same frustrations come up. There are so many amazing brands being built with a clear vision and huge potential, but the people behind them are trying to do it all themselves. They know where they want their business to go, they know what they want to achieve, but they don’t have the time or headspace to plan it out and actually make it happen.

That’s the gap I fill. I take ownership of the execution (content, campaigns, outreach, copy, launches) so the marketing actually happens, consistently and properly, without the founder having to carry it alone or invest in a full time hire.

“One hesitation I had about getting some support was the time I’d have to spend briefing. Turns out I didn’t need to worry about that. Polly was able to adapt to whatever I needed and anticipate what might be useful”

- Suziey, founder of MumBloom

My Approach

Making it happen

I'm a doer. Give me a plan and I'll run with it. This is your business and you have the vision - I'm here to make it a reality. That might mean briefing suppliers, managing launch timelines, pulling campaigns together or being a sounding board when you need to think through your strategy.

Calm under pressure

Launches go off course. Campaigns need pivoting. Content doesn’t perform as expected. I've handled all of it at scale and I don't panic. Whatever gets thrown at us, we'll find a solution - there is always one to be found.

Industry expertise

I’ve lived in the beauty marketing world and been a part of it all, from global strategy meetings to unloading boxes out of a taxi at midnight in the snow. I know what it takes to bring a campaign to life and I know how to handle whatever gets thrown at it.

Genuine understanding

I'm a founder, a mother and someone who genuinely loves the beauty and lifestyle world. I'm not learning your industry from scratch, I’ve been there and done it so I understand the pressures, the aesthetic, and the expectations.
